7 best public speaking and presentation apps for iPhone Duo
The 7 best presentation and public speaking apps for iPhone Duo: build slides, rehearse with a teleprompter, get speech feedback and control your talk.

The iPhone Duo is a surprisingly good presentation tool. Open, it shows a slide and your notes side by side. Folded, it fits in your hand as a remote. These are the 7 apps that help most, from building the deck to practicing how you say it.
How well a third-party app uses the Duo's 7.6-inch inner display depends on whether its developer has updated the layout for the fold. Apps that are not updated can show black bars in Split View. For the screen sizes involved, see our screen size guide.
1. PromptSlate Studio: best for rehearsing and recording your talk
Our app, and our first pick for practice. Rehearsing is where most presentations get better, and PromptSlate Studio is built for it. Write or paste your talk, put the Duo in tabletop posture, and record yourself with your notes scrolling next to the camera. The teleprompter can follow your voice (how voice-follow works), so it keeps pace if you slow down or improvise. Watching a take back is the fastest way to spot what needs work. It is in final development for iOS 27.1 and will be a $9.99 one-time purchase, with no subscription.

2. Keynote: best for building slides on the phone
Apple's Keynote is free, and it is the most capable slide editor on iPhone. It can also act as a remote for a Keynote presentation running on a Mac or iPad, with your notes on screen.
3. Microsoft PowerPoint: best for work and school decks
PowerPoint opens and edits .pptx files on iPhone. Editing on the phone may need a Microsoft 365 subscription, depending on your account.
4. Google Slides: best for shared decks
Free, with real-time collaboration. It is the easiest choice when a team builds the deck together.
5. Orai: best for feedback on your delivery
Orai listens while you practice and points out filler words, pace and energy. It has a free trial and a subscription.
6. Speeko: best for daily speaking exercises
Speeko offers short guided exercises and feedback on pace, filler words and intonation. It is subscription based.
7. Canva: best for good-looking slides fast
Canva has thousands of presentation templates and works well on the inner display. The free plan covers most needs.
The bottom line
Build the deck in Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides, rehearse and record it in PromptSlate Studio, and use Orai or Speeko if you want a coach. Our teleprompter apps list compares other ways to read a script.
