Zoom is one of the third-party apps Apple has publicly named as optimized for iPhone Duo on day one, alongside Netflix and Slack.

As with our other pre-launch listings, this reflects publicly confirmed information rather than our own hands-on testing, since iPhone Duo does not ship until October 23, 2026. We will publish a full review once we can test it ourselves.

Zoom fills iPhone Duo's inner display rather than running boxed in with black bars
It works within the device's fixed 50/50 Split View, which should make pairing a video call with Notes or a shared document straightforward
Apple has said adaptive layouts on Duo rely on developers adopting the iOS 27.1 SDK, and Zoom is named as one of the apps that has already done so

What we do not know yet

Neither Apple nor Zoom has published specifics on whether the outer 5.4-inch display can show call controls or a preview while the device is folded, or how gallery view behaves inside a 50/50 split rather than a full screen. We will confirm these details in our full review after launch.
